EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar opens up on vicious trolling: People judge you for what you wear, your sexuality

Over the years, filmmaker-producer Karan Johar has won the hearts of the audience with his movies. He has built an empire with his hard work and determination. However, there are days when the filmmaker is subjected to criticism and excessive trolling on social media. He has often faced severe backlash, but stood strong.

Currently, Karan Johar is gearing up for the premiere of his show Koffee With Karan season 7. Ahead of the premiere of Koffee with Karan season 7, the filmmaker sat down with us for a candid conversation and shared ‘His Story’. In an exclusive interview with us, he opened up about the vicious trolling he faces and how people judge him over his sartorial choices or his sexuality.

Opening up about the vicious trolling, Karan told Bollywood Bubble, “I mean you know, you can get down and dirty when it comes to trolling and saying things. And they, attack you on a personal level, on a personality level.”

The filmmaker added, “They can attack you for who you represent as your orientation or who you represent as a human being or what your fashion choices are, or your sartorial choices, how you speak, how you conduct yourself. They can come down to saying the worst things about you.”

Johar continued, “What doesn’t break you makes you stronger. And you should always be a version of yourself and no one else. I believe that being yourself is an art form. And if you can master that, that means that you are the master of the big game of life.”

He further added, “And I believe that I have semi-mastered atleast, the art of being myself and not being apologetic about it. Because, I don’t had feeling any apology for who I am. If I wear a sequence jacket and shiny shoes, I own it, I enjoy it. That’s who I am..”
