EXCLUSIVE: Kareena Kapoor on normalising the idea of working through her pregnancy: Why is it such a big thing?

Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most talented and successful actors of Bollywood. Currently, Kareena is winning hearts for her performance in Laal Singh Chaddha. As we know, Kareena had shot for Laal Singh Chaddha with co-star Aamir Khan when she was five and a half months pregnant. She welcomed her second child, Jeh Ali Khan last year. For the uninitiated, Kareena had worked through her first pregnancy as well. Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kareena opened up about normalising the idea of working through her pregnancy.

Kareena said, “We should normalise things. Why is it such a big thing if I am pregnant and we are working? I mean if you can.. Everybody they go to their work, they go to their desk jobs. They do that and if you feel fit, you can work in front of the camera if you want to. You should do it. It’s a choice. You have to decide what you want to do.”

The actress added, “If I have decided to do that, then I have obviously sensibly taken that decision and done it. So it shouldn’t be like, you know, like a big thing that why are we talking about it. Just normalise it na. It’s fine.”

Kareena also talked about her decision to get married to Saif Ali Khan when she was at the peak of her career. She recalled people telling that her career will be over. The actress shared, “People were always like don’t get married and be over. But I’m saying that these are at-least things that now.. Of course I did and now everybody is, you know, it’s cool to be married. Now it’s like fine.”

She added, “The whole idea is that you have to do things when you want to do them. I wanted to. I was like ‘Ok fine what will happen its fine na I won’t get work’. But I wanted to get married at that point of time and so I did it. It was no blueprint plan that I have to do this and do that. I don’t have anybody like, you know, giving me these advice so we’re sitting and planning. I’m the last person to do all this.”

Kareena went on to add, “There’s just been no plan. It’s just been like following exactly what I want to do and then thik hai na.. If its broken boundaries in any which ways then it has.”

Talking about Laal Singh Chaddha, Kareena is sharing screen space with Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in the same. Bebo plays Aamir’s love interest in the film.
