EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan REACTS to the comparison with OG Bhool Bhulaiyaa star Akshay Kumar- Watch

Actor Kartik Aaryan is basking in praises for his recently released film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which was released on May 20. The is said to be a franchise and the sequel was headlined by Kartik, Kiara Advani and Tabu. Since it is said to be the sequel to Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) netizens started drawing comparisons with each other. Well, reacting to people comparing Kartik Aaryan with the OG Bhool Bhulaiyaa star Akshay Kumar, the former mentioned that he has been compared to him multiple times.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kartik told us, “It is pretty easy to say that, I knew people would say it but I’m trying ki jabhi koi dekhe, so they should see it as a new film. Even though it was not called Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, I hope they see it like ‘acha ye Kartik Aaryan hai aur ek nayi cast and ye sablog ki nayi film hai.” For the unversed, Kartik mentioned that he would love to do a biopic on Akshay Kumar if ever it is made in the future. Kartik Aaryan even featured in a remake song of Akshay Kumar, titled, Poster Lagwa Do.

The Luka Chuppi actor even spoke about the audience’s reaction to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 trailer and the fact that people had apprehensions about him doing the Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequel. Kartik further added, “There was a lot of speculation about the fact on how different would be the film and what would be unique about this film, I didn’t want to disappoint them with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, be it the trailer or be it the film. I always had in my mind that nervous energy that once the trailer comes out, they will see me in this slide and thankfully there was a huge amount of acceptance right after the trailer, it became a success when the trailer came out,” adding that he got the positive vibes when people show a positive response to the trailer and were anticipated to watch the film.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is receiving positive responses from the movie buffs. It is also expected to do well at the box office, despite facing a clash with Kangana Ranaut starrer Dhaakad. Bollywood Bubble gave 4 stars to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Speaking about the reviews, a part of them read, “It is thrilling and thoroughly entertaining. Though the horror element seems like a cameo, the entire film has a mass appeal.”
