As glamorous and appealing being a celebrity might look from the outside, it has its drawbacks as well, the biggest of them being subjected to trolling. When you are a public figure, you become subjected to people’s opinions about you and it might not be all good all the time, and with social media, it becomes extra easy to voice those opinions. Katrina Kaif is one of those actresses in the Hindi film industry who has maybe faced the least amount of trolling on social media, considering how much she is loved by all. However, even she hasn’t been oblivious to being targeted and in a recent exclusive interaction with Bollywood Bubble for the promotions of Phone Bhoot with co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi, Katrina opened up about the same.

While talking about her experience with trolling and the worst criticism she has heard about herself, Katrina presented a fresh perspective. She said, I think I see my experience from a slightly more larger picture. I think my approach in my attitude towards whatever is said, whether it’s good, whether it’s bad, whether it’s positive, whether it’s indifferent, is first of all I think the audience has a right to say what they want to say. You’ve chosen a public profession and you’ve put yourself out there in the public domain. But I kind of also believe that there’s love out there for me. I believe that people out there mean well and mean the best for me and I try to stay there. I don’t go looking beyond a point. It’s not that I’ve never seen or read anything which was unkind.”

When asked did it bother her reading the not-so-good things written about her, Katrina honestly replied, Of course you feel bad if anyone ever says anything which is mean or not kind towards you but I’ve also seen that now for so many years. And you have to learn to just accept that emotion and to move on. I think a lot of times people feel they have to react to that emotion, someone said something, I feel bad or I disagree and now maybe I need a response. For me, I just try to move on and step over it. You just try and keep yourself and your thoughts positive and happy and do the best you can, the rest of it is not in your control.”
