EXCLUSIVE: Kriti Sanon recalls her first ramp walk: I was screamed at in front of 50 others, came back home crying

Kriti Sanon has managed to carve her niche in the entertainment industry with her stellar performances in the movies. She has slowly and steadily captured herself into the glam world, but even this road to success was not a smooth one for Kriti. The actress has not only faced hurdles in her path but also emerged as a talented actress in her journey. Kriti Sanon was the next guest on Her Story season 2. In a candid interview with us, the actress recalled an incident after her first ramp walk because of which she came back crying home.

Kriti told Bollywood Bubble, “My first ramp show, my first photoshoot, both, I came back crying.” Talking about the incident further, Sanon continued, “In my first ramp show, I was nervous, obviously, and I messed up the choreography a little bit. It was my first show and it was a complicated choreography. And that choreographer was extremely rude.”

The actress added, “And after the show, she shouted at me in front of 50 models and I just took it there and then I went and sat in an auto, and I started crying.”

Kriti Sanon further shared that she went back home and cried. Kriti continued, “So, I went back home and cried and cried and cried. So my mother was like ‘I don’t think this is meant for you, you know. You need to be a lot more stronger, thick-skinned, a lot more confident than what you are’.”

Talking about the incidents during her first photoshoot, Sanon shared, “My first photoshoot, I’d not even had a portfolio back then. So I was literally facing the still camera for the first time, not knowing what posing is, what am I supposed to do. And then I was extremely conscious. And the photographer, he was a big photographer. He was very sweet. But he said ‘it’s your first photoshoot nah’.”

She further added, “The fact that I had not performed well, bothered me so much that I went back home and cried.” The actress said that she is glad that she gave it all a second shot. She mentioned that she gained confidence in the process of doing things. “I think, I’ve also been the person who doesn’t give up. So, I’m so glad that I gave it all a second shot. And I gained that confidence in the process,” Kriti shared.
