EXCLUSIVE: Madhuri Dixit reveals, Fame is a double edged sword and it depends how important it is for you

Madhuri Dixit the Dhak Dhak girl of Bollywood has marked her debut digital debut with the web show Fame Game. The actress known for her acting prowess has won over her fans once again. She is garnering much praise for her performance in the web series where she pays Anamika Anand a top star who struggles to keep up with fame. Apart from Madhuri Dixit, Fame Game also features Sanjay Kapoor and Manav Kaul in pivotal roles.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble’s Bhavna Agarwal,  Madhuri Dixit opened up on what fame means to her, the overwhelming response to the show if there is a season 2. She also discussed the perils of fame and if they ever felt judged.

On being asked about her take on the world of stars and the life beyond the stardom also about fame obsession, Madhuri says that fame is a double-edged sword and it depends on how important it is for you.

Madhuri Dixit says, “I think..you know.. Anamika’s character and the whole story is taking every little thing to the zenith of it. Everything is exaggerated and it is not that the same thing happens to everyone in their life, it’s like something happens to someone.. a story here a story there just amalgamate all that to create a world in which you can suck people in and so you can say, this is what is happening in our life. So it is a lot of drama and you know more dramatise kind of thing.”

She added, “Our lives are not like that every day it’s like very normal you know once we go home we are ordinary people … like for me I am a mother, a wife, a daughter all things that Anamika is but I think our lives are much simpler, thankfully and mercifully. I think fame is like a double-edged sword and it depends on how important it is for you. For me, if I work, I work to the best of my ability and what happens is then… if fame happens then it is something a byproduct of what I am doing. But if you get obsessed by it and if that becomes your mainstay in life then it is a little worrisome, that happened to Anamika.”
