Manoj Bajpayee shared an extremely close bond with his father, RK Bajpayee. In October last year, the Family Man actor lost his father due to prolonged illness. RK Bajpayee passed away at a Delhi hospital. He was 83. Bajpayee recently sat down with us for a candid conversation.
In an exclusive chat with us, Manoj Bajpayee opened up about the death of his father. He spoke about it at length. The actor shared that he misses his father a lot. Bajpayee mentioned how losing his father was the biggest down in his entire career, because he loved him from the core of his heart.
Manoj told Bollywood Bubble, “I have seen many downs. But yes, losing my father was the biggest down in my entire career, entire life. Because, he is somebody, I loved from the core of my heart.”

The actor added, “He was not only a father, but also everything for me. He was somebody who always believed in me, blindly, knowing nothing about what I wanted to do. I miss him. But old age is something that you can’t do anything about. But I know that wherever he is, he is very happy.”
Opening up about the time after his father’s demise, he continued, “One felt completely devasted. But somewhere I knew that it was better he was gone, because he was in too much pain.”

Talking about his father further, Bajpayee said, “My father took great pride in each and every small thing or big thing I have achieved in life. He was very excited to accompany me, with my wife when I was going to receive Padma Shri. At that time my mother was being operated upon, so she could not come. But, my father was somebody who was always the biggest cheerleader of Manoj Bajpayee.”
