While Samrat Prithviraj underperformed at the box office and got mixed reviews critically, Manushi’s performance was appreciated, and now she is in a relaxing mode. A few days ago, the actress posted pictures on social media from her holiday in which she said it was a much-needed one to “save my sanity”. Recently Manushi Chhillar got into an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble where she opened up about life after Samrat Prithviraj.

When asked if she feels relaxed now that the film has finally released, especially after the extended wait due to the pandemic, she agrees. “I think a little bit. People have seen the film and the relaxation is also of the fact that I have gotten appreciation for my work. So, there is no doubt anymore if I took the right decision to act,” she chuckles.
Talking about the response, Manushi admits that despite the critical review and box-office performance of the film, she has majorly heard good things about her portrayal. “The response has been mostly good. Whoever I have talked to and the feedback I have received it’s all good only. So, I am also taking my time to absorb everything,” she shares.

But amongst all the compliments, there is one that she received from someone within the industry and that has been really special to her. What makes it more interesting is that it has a Salman Khan connection as well. Manushi reveals, “I’ll not name the person to be honest but someone from the industry told me that ki aisa lag raha tha ki dabangg chal rahi hai and you are the dabangg of the film, and that was special. Being the female actor in such a film, it’s a very big compliment and I found that really sweet. A lot of people had such sweet things to say, but this was a stand out.”

To be compared to a classic character of a superstar like Salman is indeed special and now Manushi is all set to hit the ground running. She reveals that the phone calls she is getting now for offers have also become interesting and better. There are reports that she already has her second film locked with Vicky Kaushal, which will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, but the actress stays tight-lipped about it.
