Neena Gupta and her daughter, designer Masaba Gupta share an extremely close bond. And, over the time, their bond has grown only stronger. Neena Ji has faced many struggles when she decided to raise her daughter as a single parent. She took the decision of having Masaba out of wedlock and did a fabulous duty a mother to her daughter.
It was only recently that Masaba Gupta, Neena Gupta starring show Masaba Masaba 2 was released. Ahead of the release, the Masaba Masaba 2 actors sat down with us for a candid chat. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, for the show Dear Buddy, Neena Ji opened up about her decision to have Masaba out of wedlock.
The Masaba Masaba 2 actress was asked if it was difficult to having a child out of wedlock and if there is a stigma attached to being a single mother. She reacted and mentioned that there is a stigma attached to being a single mother. Gupta said, “Yeah Yeah. It is there. It will always be there. And it is always difficult to face these things. And, in future also, it will be difficult.”

She added, “So, nothing much has changed. We talk about change, change, change, women change; woh itna sa hai humlog, baaki toh waisa hi hai.”
During the interview, Neena Ji even spoke about never poisoning her daughter about Viv Richards. She said, “I believe that if once you loved somebody, how can you hate? You cannot live, you cannot be together. I don’t hate my ex-boyfriends, I don’t hate my ex-husband, I don’t. Why should I hate?”

Meanwhile, for the unversed, Neena Ji was in a relationship with cricketer Vivian Richards back in the 1980s. It was in 1989 that Gupta welcomed her first child, daughter Masaba Gupta.
