Nora Fatehi is often compared to Shakira and other Hollywood divas ever since she has won the hearts of fans with her stellar dance performances. The actress has vowed one and all with her dance performances in the music videos, O Saki Saki, Dilbar, Naach Meri Rani, Kusu Kusu and several others. Nora was recently promoting her next project, the music video titled Dirty Little Secret.
The Dirty Little Secret actress sat down with us for a candid conversation. In an interview with us, Nora Fatehi opened up about the item girl tag. She mentioned how it doesn’t make sense to her and spoke at length on the same.
Nora told Bollywood Bubble, “Item girl, I don’t know who created that word. It doesn’t even phonetically make sense. Like Item is a thing. You know like ‘This is an item’. And then girl, this doesn’t make sense. To me, I don’t understand it.”

The Dirty Little Secret actress added, “But, I think, what it means that there is a song and there’s like a really hot girl. And, she just like titillating you. And there you go, that’s the song. So, I don’t do those. I do performance oriented songs. I do songs where you come and see choreography. You come and see some crazy hook steps. You see some power-packed movements and a presence and an aura. And, I made sure mentally, that from day one that if I’m gonna doing this that is what I’m gonna do. It would be about my presence, it would be about my aura, and I’m going to bring something to the table.”
She continued, “And, I fought so much when I used to do songs just about my hook steps. Like there would be so many fights with filmmakers because they wouldn’t let me do hard hook steps. They’d be like ‘No, keep it really easy’. And I’d be like ‘That’s the only way I’ll break into the industry. That’s the only way people will respect me. If I bring something different and challenging to the table’.”
