Hum Do Hamare Do’s trailer was loved by the masses and they cannot wait for the movie’s release. For the unversed, the comedy-drama is directed by Abhishek Jain and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film features Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah, Aparshakti Khurana, Manu Rishi and Prachi Shah among others. And now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, veteran actors Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak opened up on changing paradigms of stardom, success, and failure.
They also shared funny anecdotes from their real-life love stories – with Naseeruddin Shah and Swaroop Sampat – respectively and the common thread that binds the two love stories – Theatre. When asked about their love stories, Ratna was quick to point out how theatre is a marriage and how it somehow rubs it off. She added that they both had theatre romances and the same taught them how to last the tough times.
Paresh Rawal revealed that it was love at first sight for him. He just saw her and decided to marry her. He revealed that his friend told him that she is the boss’ daughter. However, he said that he was not bothered by who she was.

After 2-3 months, he said to Sampat that he would like to marry her. And requested to not tell that she would like to know him etc. He feels that no one can understand anyone till death. He said, “So, please don’t do this futile exercise with me. Just commit yourself. But we got married after 12 years (1975-87).” Ratna Pathak revealed that she and Naseeruddin Shah dated for 7 years before they tied the knot.
For the unversed, Sampat is best known for her movies such as Naram Garam, Uri, Ki and Ka and The White Tiger among others, and is known for her performance in television serials like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. She won the Miss India contest in 1979 and represented India at Miss Universe in 1979. They have two sons, Aniruddh and Aditya.
