EXCLUSIVE: Pooja Hegde shares how bagging an ad with Ranbir Kapoor changed her life

Actor Pooja Hegde who made her Bollywood debut with Mohenjo Daro didn’t garner the response that she was expecting. During an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Pooja revealed that Mohenjo Daro broke her heart as she gave her heart and soul to the movie. But before bagging Ashutosh Gowariker’s film, Hegde revealed that she did a South film with Mugamoodi in 2012 but that didn’t do well. Pooja recalled that for one year she didn’t have any work and was going for auditions but nothing used to work out.

The things didn’t work out until she went for an audition for an ad which was with actor Ranbir Kapoor. The Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo actor told us, “I got a call and was selected and it was an ad with Ranbir Kapoor. That ad got me Mohenjo Daro, other South films. So, that ad gave me so much. It’s just like suddenly things changed for me.” In case you guys wonder which ad, Pooja and Ranbir did an ad about a scooter. The video is embedded below.

Talking about the reviews on Hrithik Roshan starrer, Hegde told us, “Reviews were good about me but most of them were like ‘I wish we could see more of her’. Obviously, I felt bad and was really heartbroken. I cried as I spent so much into it. I put my heart and soul into it and it didn’t work out.”

After the debacle of Mohenjo Daro, Pooja Hegde did plenty of films in the South. She was also seen in a multi-starrer film Housefull 4. Now, she gained immense love for her role in Radhe Shyam where she starred opposite Baahubali star Prabhas.
