EXCLUSIVE: Ranbir Kapoor on fatherhood: Birth of my child will only tell me how I am as a father

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is all set to begin the new phase of his life and that is fatherhood. The actor and his actor wife Alia Bhatt announced the pregnancy in June, leaving fans rejoiced. As Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are expecting their first child soon, Ranbir said that there’s a lot of anticipation and imagination right now. He also mentioned that the day his child is born will determine how he will be as a father.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, the Shamshera actor said, “Right now there is anticipation right now there is an expectation right now there are dreams there is imagination but game toh tabhi khulegi the day the birth of my child will really tell me how I am as a father everybody wants to be a good father everybody and so do I and that would be the intention”

When asked how different he will be from his late father Rishi Kapoor. To which, Ranbir said, “I’ll imbibe a lot of like value systems that I’ve taken from my parents and pass it on and of course, you have to evolve you have to, You’re living in a different time right now. You have your own sensibilities and your own moral values. You know your own upbringing but it’s not something that is written in stone. You know it’s day to day I speak to fathers like Karan (Malhotra) who I know and I see it that he’s a great father. He’s somebody who’s so connected with his child so it takes a lot of sacrifices. It’s not really about main yeh karunga ya main wo karunga, main bol sakta hoon but the sacrifices that you take, that you make to actually be there for you another human being is something which I’m looking forward to and I really hope and pray that I can succeed in that role in my life.”
