The year has been quite special for Ranbir Kapoor as he has tied the knot with his girlfriend Alia Bhatt. The duo are set to welcome their first child together soon. The dashing star is gearing for the release of Shamshera and Brahmastra. Amid all this happiness there is an ache. The actor seems to be missing the presence of a special person in his life. The person is none other than his father actor Rishi Kapoor.
As Ranbir Kapoor is gearing to step into an all-new world with Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera, he reveals that he misses having Rishi ji around. “This is a very big year for me and I wish he was here,” he says during an emotional conversation with us as he remembers his dad.
In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Ranbir Kapoor says he misses Rishi Kapoor around, “Absolutely, I miss everything not just my movies you know, I just wish he was around, to just be around to talk to him. It’s a big year for me, to getting married, having you know being a parent. All these are big moments.”

He added, “But talking about Shamshera I think he would be really excited, would be really proud, be really um encouraging towards me you know that I’ve done a film of this nature. He always told me throughout my career that you should do films that appeal to a larger audience. You should work more, these are the things that keep ringing in my ear you know that my father’s voice. But I hope he’s up there somewhere looking down and blessing me and blessing her also for Shamshera because I think he would be proud of a film like Shamshera.”

Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in YRF’s Shamshera with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. The Karan Malhotra directorial will hit the theatres on July 22, 2022.
