EXCLUSIVE: Ranveer Singh discusses family’s tough times when he was a kid: My dad shielded us from everything

Ranveer Singh was recently gearing up for the release of his movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The film was released in theatres on May 13, Friday. In the movie, Ranveer plays the role of a father. During the promotions of the movie, Singh joined us for a candid chat. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ranveer Singh discussed the tough times that his family has faced and how his dad shielded them from problems.

Ranveer told Bollywood Bubble, “Jayeshbhai Jordaar, perhaps my biggest take away from having rendered this part is a much deeper appreciation for everything that my father did.”

Singh further said, “To protect us as a family, you know, to stick by and empower his life, fight for her against and protect us in times of adversity, shield us from some not so pleasant experiences. I was a kid then, but I was very intuitive.”

The Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor added, “So, I knew exactly what was going on for us. But, he was making a conscious effort to shield us and seem like it’s all good. Not only did I know, as a child, what was going on, or what might be going on. I also recognize the effort that he made to shield us from it and make it seem like it’s good.”

During the interview, Singh also opened up about his life with his wife, Deepika Padukone. The actor spoke about his family’s tough times. He shared about the people who mean the most in his life too.
