EXCLUSIVE: Raqesh Bapat opens up about his first love: It was a Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar kind of romance

Actor Raqesh Bapat is one of the popular names in the world of entertainment. He started his career as a model and got his first break with the Hindi film ‘Tum Bin’. The actor with the chocolate boy looks soon walked into the hearts of the audiences with his charm and innocence. Raqesh soon entered the world of Indian television with shows like ‘Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar’and many more.

The actor garnered much fame post his stint on Bigg Boss 15 where his romance with actress Shamita Shetty was much loved by viewers. Fans soon started addressing the couple as ShaRa. Today though the two have moved on in life they still share a bond of friendship. The ex-couple have also come together for a romantic music video ‘Tere Vich Rab Disda.’

In an exclusive chat with us, Raqesh Bapat has opened up about his first love. He also revealed that it was a Jo Jeet Wohi Sikandar kind of romance.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, host Nayandeep Rakshit, Raqesh Bapat said, “It happened when I was in college and that was my first love. That is the only time, I think I have chased somebody literally, literally you know like I’ve gone behind her on bikes and cycles and all that. It was like a Jo Jeet Wahi Sikander kind of romance, so yeah that was the real thing. After that, I have never because at a very early age I got into this industry and I was 19 when I became Mr India. Then it was like a back-to-back and then Tum Bin happened.”

He further added, “Come to think of it I never had time to fall in love again. It just like coincidentally happened and I just went with the flow. That’s why when you ask me what is love? or chasing love anything of that sort, so for me you see I’m an artist and as I have said that it’s all about energy. When I paint it is cosmic for me it’s divine for me, so anything that has good energy is God for me and you don’t chase God it just happens to you.”
