EXCLUSIVE: Saif Ali Khan reveals that he had to buy back the Pataudi palace: It wasn’t inheritance

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has managed to carve a niche in the entertainment industry. He is loved for his stellar performances and acting prowess. The National-award-winning actor has earned immense fame during his illustrious career as an actor. But did you know there was a time when Saif Ali Khan had to buy back his ancestral home, Pataudi Palace with his hard-earned money? In an exclusive chat with us, Saif Ali Khan opened up about buying back his ancestral home, the Pataudi Palace. 

Saif Ali Khan said he wasn’t really re-buying Pataudi Palace. He said, “It wasn’t really re-buying. It was like clearing a lease and blah blah. But then, money is not come easy also.”

While the actor cleared out the same, he opened up about being privileged. He added, “Half of the businessman in the country have inherited fortunes and all, but we didn’t. I mean we are privileged than people who are badly off.”

Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor opened up about being privileged. They said they don’t take it for granted. 

The Tanhaji actor had repossessed his ancestral home in 2014. For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral property was leased to Neemrana Hotels. The actor had revealed that he wrapped up the lease that was left and took back the possession of his home. Saif even rents certain portions of the property for film shoots.

On the work front, Saif Ali Khan has films Bhoot Police, Adipurush and a few others in his kitty. The film Bhoot Police is expected to release soon. The film will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Yami Gautam.
