EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan to be a part of Sooraj Barjatya’s son’s directorial debut?

Currently, there is no doubt of the fact that Salman Khan is the biggest star we have in Bollywood. The presence of the star in any movie assures a sure shot success, even though the critics may not be a fan. Such is his star power and rightly so.

However, long before Salman came to us in the form of ‘Dabangg’ Khan and the ultimate Bhai, he was the beloved Prem of Rajshri movies.

The actor, who first played Prem in director Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ in 1989 shares a special relationship with the makers and his family as the film gave the actor the needed launchpad in the industry. The actor went on to work with the family drama maker in three more projects namely ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ in 1994, ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ in 1999 and the latest ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ in 2015, as Prem.

Now the actor is all set to work with the gen-next of the Barjatya family. According to sources, director Sooraj Barjatya’s son Devansh Barjatya is all set to turn director and plans to cast Salman Khan in his directorial venture. The young to-be filmmaker has earlier produced a tv show and has even assisted his father in the 205 release ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead.

If sources are to be believed, Devansh has already narrated the first draft to Salman Khan and the actor looks quite impressed with the storyline. But since Salman’s schedule is packed for the coming twenty months, the film will take some time to go on the floor.
