When asked if that success and association with Sanjay and Alia has translated into better offers, he responded, “Definitely it has. I think when you are a part of Sanjay sir’s movie, by default everyone sees you in a very different light and that has really helped me and it became easier for me to make people accept the fact that I have other talents as well and I am equally passionate about things. It’s just not that dance based characters ke liye approach kiya jaye, as an individual, as an actor based roles hain, than we (makers) should approach him. (Now it’s not just dance based roles that people approach me for, they consider me for individual, acting based characters as well). So that whole shift of how you see an actor, typecast jo bolte hain, that has shifted and that has really helped me in terms of getting different offers, interesting offers. They take it (the dancing talent) as an X-factor now.”
