Talking about how she dealt with racism, Sunny said: “I have lived in a very small town, so predominantly caucasian white, and being one of the few Indian girls in the classroom, not so fun, now I am so happy. I love who I am but at that time it was difficult. Wondering why these girls have no hair on their arms, there’s no hair on their face. I developed early than most of my friends. I think a lot of children go through the same thing but I grew up in a generation where we were not as sensitive.”
