EXCLUSIVE: Sushant Singh Rajput in, Ranbir Kapoor out of ‘Mogul’

The biopic on Gulshan Kumar titled  ‘Mogul’ is making the most noise recently. After Akshay Kumar walked out of the biopic, the makers wanted to make the film with a younger hero. Recently, Aamir Khan too came on board as a co-producer of the film.

After Akki opted out of the film, the team had sent the script to Ranbir Kapoor, who was their first choice for the role but it now seems that RK too has bowed out of the project.

Says a source, “The makers want to go on floors by this December or next January. They will definitely release the film on Christmas next year. Ranbir doesn’t have dates anymore. He has already signed Shamshera and Luv Ranjan’s next. So he can’t start the film next year for sure.”

After the team understood the same, they sent the script to another young actor. Who’s it? The source reveals, “Sushant Singh Rajput has been approached now. He has read the script and shown interest. He might even give his nod and work out the modalities soon. This might be his next to next project.”

If he says yes, this will be his second biopic after ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ and going by the amount of prep he did for his first biopic, SSR might just start taking music lessons now.
