Bollywood’s legendary actor Irrfan Khan left for his heavenly abode after a brave fight with cancer. The actor breathed his last on April 29 after a two-year battle with a neuroendocrine tumour. His loss left family and fans in a shock and they are still trying to come to terms with it.
The loss of a partner a soulmate is one of the biggest losses of life. Irrfan Khan is no more with his wife Sutapa Sikdar, and in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, she spoke all about how she is coping with the loss.
In an interview with us, Sutapa Sikdar spoke about how after living 35 years with Irrfan, how she is dealing with his death.
Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar said that she did not have the courage to face this world because it seemed like a long time since she was single without him. She could not even remember the time she had not met him. She had almost forgotten to live without him. Then looking at her children Babil and Ayan she realised that she has to normalise in terms of socially and also keep things normal at home.
Sutapa added that she still strongly feels that he is still around. “You know the toughest of the days or nights as you mentioned generally its nights where suddenly it would start raining, or something would happen, or a book will fall which was his favourite, or something and I know he is around. I know he is around till perhaps I believe in rebirth, Islam doesn’t but I believe in rebirth. Till he is born again he will be around and even if he is reborn. I say it with so much faith so much surety that I will connect with the baby somehow or the other. Whenever he is born, our connection is so that we will meet again.”

Speaking about Irrfan Khan, Sutapa Sikdar said, “I wanted to go with a brave smile because you know one like you mentioned. It has been a big surprise for me he was not that kind of a star right but the kind of messages the kind of love and it is love it is because they don’t know me you know it’s like I just felt goosebumps seeing those things and listening to those messages or somebody’s telling me whatever you know it’s just kind of I felt that’s his legacy is not a studio his legacy is not you know like a company or anything I felt his legacy is his fans his legacies are his fans who still would think that he’s around.”
