EXCLUSIVE: Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap on not being invited for Koffee With Karan 7: ‘We will start our own Kutting With Kashyap, Tharra With Taapsee’

Karan Johar’s popular chat show ‘Koffee With Karan 7’ is currently one of the most talked-about shows. Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh kickstarted the seventh season of the show. So far, Akshay Kumar-Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vijay Deverakonda-Ananya Panday, Kareena Kapoor Khan-Aamir Khan, Sonam Kapoor-Arjun Kapoor have graced the couch. Taapsee Pannu, who is currently busy promoting her film Dobaaraa, has not been invited to Koffee With Karan 7. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Taapsee Pannu was asked why she isn’t seen on Koffee With Karan 7 despite being one of the successful actors of Bollywood.

Taapse said, “Nahi bhai nahi bulaya mujhe. Nahi bulaya hai. (No I am not invited to the show).” Anurag Kashyap, who has directed Dobaaraa, added, “Humlog ko nahi bulaya bhai. (We are not invited to the show).”

Taapsee went on to add, “We are not as exciting as… I keep telling everyone who ask me probably…” Anurag added, “Humlog apna khud hi karne wale hai (We will have our own show). Cutting with Kashyap. Budget ke hisab se (According to our budget).” Taapsee smiled as she said, “Ek tapri pe baithe uska set hoga. Ek tapri pe baithenge hum” (We will set up a stall).” Anurag added, “Tharra with Taapsee.” Taapsee joked, “Taapsee will not be even having that Tharra.. So I am like…” Anurag came up with another idea as he joked, “Panna with Pannu ho jaega.” Reacting to this, Taapsee said, “Ye acha hai. I like that. We are little more mass standard.” Anurag added, “Humlog aise woh… hota hai na.. zameen pe pit lagaenge. Beech mein ithe rakhenge. Chicken banate hue aur saath mein tharra pe (We will sit on the floor and we will make chicken and there will be Tharra).”

When asked about the gift hamper, Taapsee joked, “Hamper nahi.. we will hamper each other’s career.” Anurag went on to add, “Hamper nahi. Hum thali mein khana parosenge aur wahi pe hi aata belenge. Yehi hone wala hai.” Taapsee laughed as she said, “Panna with Pannu is very nice. I really like this. I’m going to like get this copyright.”

Talking about Dobaaraa, it also stars Pavail Gulati. The mystery drama film is slated to release on 19 August, 2022.
