EXCLUSIVE: Taapsee Pannu recalls how she was called an iron leg down South

Actor Taapsee Pannu is now gearing up for her upcoming movie, Looop Lapeta with Tahir Raj Bhasin which will hit the OTT giant Netflix tomorrow. Nevertheless, before Taapsee started making more Bollywood movies, she did plenty of movies down South and have worked with stars like Ravi Teja, Prabhas, Gopichand and many more. But did you know that there was a time when Taapsee was called as ‘iron leg’ in the South industry once? That’s right.

Recalling the time, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Taapsee along with Tahir Raj Bhasin and director Aakash Bhatia had a fun round of Never Have I Ever where she was asked if she ever felt like she was in trouble. To which, Taapsee said, “Bohot baar (laughs). School college wali baatein yaad aati hai but not after you start working. Maybe when I was working in South, that time I was called the Iron leg, everything I touch turns flop, maine socha ki ab lag gayi, abhi Delhi jaana padega.”

Even Tahir added his story saying, “Yeah, a lot of times yaar, the whole thing about facing a crisis in the moment in that time feels like the biggest thing is happening to you, ki isse bada kuch hua nahi mere life mein. Wo ek distance ke baad perspective mil jata hai ki actually wo itni badi baat nahi hai.”

Looop Lapeta promises to be an adventurous ride after Savi and Satya are stuck in a dire situation. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment along with Aayush Maheshwari. Looop Lapeta is the Bollywood adaptation of Tom Tykwer’s celebrated cult classic Run Lola Run and the directorial feature film debut of Aakash Bhatia.

Looop Lapeta release date is 4th February 2022 and will stream on Netflix.
