Tanishk Bagchi does not need any introduction. Touted as the ‘King of Remix Songs,’ Tanishk is often ruling charts for his remix as well original songs. Music producer, composer, singer, and lyricist, Tanishk Bagchi is an all-rounder. He never fails to impress people with his exceptional skills in the world of music.
Recently, Tanishk Bagchi left everyone swooning to two songs, – Har Funn Maula starring Aamir Ali and Patli Kamariya featuring Mouni Roy. While he composed the music for Har Funn Maula, he gave his vocals for Patli Kamariya, and both the songs are ruling charts. We, at Bollywood Bubble, recently got in touch with Tanishk Bagchi and asked him about remixing old classics, the backlash he receives, and more.
Sharing his views on remixing songs, Tanishk said, “The purpose of making remix songs or recreational songs was different, and now it has become something else. I started creating remixes as I wanted old songs to reach people. That was the whole idea about remix songs to make a larger section aware of old and forgotten songs. So, directors and people supported me, but later on, they started pointing fingers that I only recreate songs. However, it’s not that I’ve only done recreational songs. I’ve done ample original songs also like Baarish, Makhna, and others.”

Stressing on his point, Tanishk Bagchi added, “I do recreational songs because maybe I have specialized in that niche over time. I know how to make the song appealing, and people start liking it. But, there is a section that does not like remixes. I’m a person who does not pay heed to people liking or disliking it. I just keep a tab on my intention, if the song has reached the masses and if they’ve enjoyed it. I’ve made original songs also like Patli Kamariya, Harr Fun Maula. So, it’s important to strike a balance. Also, I am not the only one recreating songs, there are others as well.”
Ask if the criticism and trolling he gets for creating remixes of old songs, Tanishk Bagchi said, “If I fear backlash, I won’t be able to grow and garner success. It is a competitive market. If not me, someone else will recreate songs. Also, it’s not necessary that the other one comes up with a good recreation, it can be bad also. So, if fortunately, my recreational songs are grabbing attention, I feel it is a blessing that people are trusting my work.”
