EXCLUSIVE: THE Deverakonda, Vijay or Cheese: Vijay Deverakonda reveals what he likes to be called

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday are leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming sports drama Liger. Vijay plays the role of a boxer in the film and Ananya plays the female lead. As seen in the trailer and songs of Liger, Vijay and Ananya share a great chemistry with each other. But, how well do they know each other? Ahead of Liger’s release, Bollywood Bubble caught up with Vijay and Ananya and challenged them for a compatibility test.

Vijay, who is currently one of the hottest stars in the industry, was asked what he likes to be called – THE Deverakonda, Vijay or Cheese. The actor told us, “Anything works. If you call me with love, anything works.”

In case you don’t know, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan earlier made an appearance on Koffee With Karan 7. On the show, Karan Johar had asked Sara to name a guy she wants to date and Sara took Vijay Deverakonda’s name. For the uninitiated, during Koffee With Karan 6, Janhvi had confessed that she has a crush on Vijay.

Sara, who shares a great bond with Janhvi, asked her if she liked Vijay. After teasing each other, Janhvi said Sara can “have the cheese.” Karan then joked, “Why are you guys passing Vijay Deverakonda like a slice of cheese.” To this, Sara replied, “We can’t be after the same slice of cheese like you said and let me tell everyone that she is now giving it to me.”

After Sara and Janhvi’s entertaining episode, Vijay had reacted to Sara’s cute confession. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Vijay had written, “I love how you say ‘Deverakonda’ Cutest! Sending big hugs and my affection @saraalikhan95 @janhvikapoor.”

Talking about Vijay and Ananya’s upcoming film Liger, it also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy among others. Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has a cameo in the film. Liger is slated to release on 25^th August.
