Tusshar Kapoor marked his return on the big screen after a long time last week with his murder mystery thriller Maarrich. The actor is playing the role of a badass police officer who is on a chase to find Maarrich, the biggest evil. This is the second time in his career that Tusshar will be seen as a cop, he had earlier donned the uniform for Khakee.
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Tusshar Kapoor opened up on donning the uniform after many years. He also revealed how he prepped for the role and more.
Talking about his role in Maarich Tusshar said, “Playing a cop for Maarich was not very nostalgic as this cop is quite diferent from the one I played in Khakee and all. It was going with my seniority level at that point and my experience at that point which was very raw. The character also was a bit raw he’s very honest by the book. I had a great director at that point of time,Raj Kumar Santoshi to like hand hold me through that character which was beautifully accepted by people. Thank you so much to all of you all the audience. However this time it was much more nerve-wracking because uh it’s really out of my comfort zone. As far as the comic roles are concerned as far as very positive characters are concerned then you know that the other side of the law. The entire other end of the Spectrum which is which is a little simpler to play the completely bad guy or the completely good guy, then a rough and tough cop who’s more gray.”

He further added, “This character is like that he’s more gray so it was more challenging and exactly where you’re sitting right now we were doing the workshops you know for this character. I had very seductive scenes with Manita then I had scenes with my wife in the film which are more positive lovey-dovey. Then with my assistant in the film. I had to enact them out with lots of people all the other principal characters. It was very nerve-wracking as it was really out of my comfort zone and I was quite nervous initially. But then the shoot started and then I think after three days I was fine then I kind of you get into the you get warmed up to the character.”
