Tusshar said, “That was in the beginning infact but my first film did really, really well. It was a huge success and it was not even from a home production or not even launched by my family. But somehow I think because you are a part of certain, you come from a certain family, your father has been in the profession and then my sister was doing really well in television at that time. I think the media it kind of tries to give the impression that the glass is half empty. No matter how well you do they’re like ‘oh he’s done so much but this this is not there’, ‘he has to come out of romance and do something else’, ‘prove this, prove that’. You are constantly suppose to try and prove. So, I think that’s the disadvantage of being a part of a certain family. You are always tested. You are always kind of made to feel like that the glass is half empty.”

The actor added, “So, if you have done so much then why not so much more? So that I felt within the trade there was a.. I felt a little judged too much. But in the audience I think they are very fair. They love your work for what they have seen on screen and I felt very, very welcomed, very loved with my first film. So, no matter what certain media outlets would say when I went out in the public, to the college or at the airport or when I interacted with students if I was shooting in some NIFT in Hyderabad. When I went to the aam janta (normal public), it was really normal, very fair, it was very about me and my work. But when you open the paper, you try and see what’s written about you, you’ll always feel like they are judging me too much. It was challenging in the beginning but later on when I started having successes more often after a few wrong films like Kya Cool came, then Khakee came, then Golmaal came, then it became less challenging to actually satisfy these people who are never happy. That time it used to be a lot that they were never happy.”

Over the years, Tusshar has appeared in films like Khakee, Golmaal, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Golmaal Returns, and Shootout At Wadala among others. Tusshar recently delivered a terrific performance as a cop in Maarrich.
