Not every actor is born with a silver spoon, in fact, there are many who have faced hardships in the past before making it big in the film industry. Speaking about the same, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, actor Vishal Jethwa who made his Bollywood debut with YRF Mardaani 2 recalled the hardships that he and his parents had to face in the past. Vishal revealed that during the young days of his mother, she used to work at people’s houses and earned Rs 15 per house.
Vishal Jethwa on his mother:
Talking about taking responsibility post his father’s death, Vishal said, “2008 mein mere papa guzar gaye aur uske baad meri mom singlehandedly hum teeno bachcho ko badha kiya aur bohot logone support kiya, lekin jin logon ka milna chahiye wah nahi bhi mila aur waise hi dheere dheere, maine apne acting ki shuruwat ki aur mera hobby profession mein badal gayi. Toh waha ek responsibility kahi na kahi unknowingly hidden thi, mujhe nahi pata tha ki main apne responsibility to fulfil karne ke liye ye sab kuch kar raha hai hu. Ab jake me peeche dekhta hu ki ‘oh, main toh apna kaam kar raha tha’.”

(In 2008, my father passed away and after that, my mom took care of three children singlehandedly. A lot of people supported us but there were some who didn’t support us even though we were expecting it. Slowly and gradually, I started acting professionally; however, I didn’t realise when my hobby turned to be a profession. I didn’t realise that I was fulfilling my responsibilities and my duties after my dad’s demise. Now when I look back, I feel like ‘oh, I was just doing my work’)
The Salaam Venky actor even spoke about the time when his mother used to work at people’s houses during her young days and earned Rs 15 per house. He even revealed how his mother used to sell sanitary pads and purses to everyone’s houses.
