EXCLUSIVE: Was Jacqueline Fernandez the FIRST choice for ‘Ek Do Teen’ in ‘Baaghi 2’? Deets Inside

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani-starrer ‘Baaghi 2’ has been in the news ever since the film’s announcement. The film which stars alleged real-life couple Tiger and Disha as the lead, also has something interesting to offer apart from the high octane action and stunts.

The makers of ‘Baaghi 2’ today announced that the film will have a special dance number which will feature Jacqueline Fernandez in it. The ‘Judwaa 2’ actress will be seen dancing on Madhuri Dixit‘s hit dance number ‘Ek Do Teen Char’ in ‘Baaghi 2’. For the unaware, it is one of the most iconic songs of the Dhak Dhak girl which featured Anil Kapoor alongside her.

But wait…was Jacqueline the first choice for the song?

According to the sources, the song was earlier going to be picturised on the film’s lead actress Disha Patani herself but at the last moment, the makers decided to go ahead with Jacqueline Fernandez.

That’s surprising, as the makers of ‘Baaghi 2’ recently announced their project ‘Kick 2’ which is the sequel to 2014 release ‘Kick’. The earlier film starred Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Randeep Hooda in the lead but for the sequel, Salman is the only finalised name till date. Reportedly, the makers are on a look out for the leading lady of the film, and Deepika Padukone’s name is doing the rounds. And this news has reportedly made Jacqueline upset, as ‘Kick’ was a turning point for the actress’ career and she wanted to be part of the sequel as well. Talking about ‘Baaghi 2’, the film is the sequel to the 2016 release ‘Baaghi’ which starred Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. The film apart from Tiger and Disha the movie also stars Randeep Hooda, Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpayee and is slated to release on March 30 this year.
