‘Fan’ actress Shikha Malhotra who is also a frontline warrior as she is a registered nurse. A graduate degree in nursing from Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College and Safrdarjung Hospital Shikha had volunteered to help amidst the pandemic.

But, Shikha was hit with an unfortunate set of events as she suffered from a stroke. But Shikha is on the road to recovery now. According to an IANS report, due to the stroke, the ‘Fan’ actress’ right side had been badly affected.

In and interview with Navbharat Times, Shikha opened up about her health and said, “My health is improving but the process is slow. I’m not sure when I will be able to walk again.” She further added, “I am helpless with my body but my heart gets elated when I think of my film Kaanchli in which I have played the lead role.”

Shikha was initially admitted to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital but she was later moved to KEM Hospital when she was not improving much. She said, “I am going through a tough phase in my life and I need everyone’s support. I am passionate about my work and I just need a little push from the audience.” 

Taking to her Instagram account, Shikha updated her fans about her health. Sharing a picture with her mother she worte, “Recovering with my super woman my mumma’s love ♥️ n with all of yours prayers immense love respect and care?coming back to normal??My humble request is to Please keep watching my debut hindi feature film kaanchli ? all my hardwork my latest release on “Ultra movie parlour” directed by Dedipya joshii ji?need your support always? @kaanchlithefilm @dedipya_official @shobha_official #coronafighternurse #coronawarriorsindia ???‍⚕️(sic)”
