‘Fanney Khan’ starts rolling, Anil Kapoor shares a picture from the sets

Atul Manjrekar’s ‘Fanney Khan’ is surely one of the most anticipated films of 2018. The movie has an interesting star cast comprising of Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao. The film went on floors today, and Anil Kapoor took to Twitter to inform his fans about it.

Along with a picture of the clapboard from the sets, he wrote, “And here’s the clap that marks the beginning of something new & very very special! First days the best days! #FanneyKhan #ShootBegins.” [sic[

Well, what grabs our attention in the image is the pictures of Shammi Kapoor and Mohammed Rafi on the wall. We wonder if Anil Kapoor’s character in the film is that of a fan of these two legends. The movie also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but she won’t be seen romancing Anil Kapoor in the film. The actress reportedly plays the role of a singer who is like a diva. Aishwarya and Anil had last shared screen space in 2000 release ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’. It will surely be interesting to see these two on the big screen again. Reportedly, the film is based on body shaming and it is said that Aishwarya took up the film because the movie tackles that issue.

There were a lot of reports about who will be pairing opposite Aishwarya in the movie. It was said that R Madhavan would be romancing Aishwarya, but then Rajkummar Rao was finally roped in.

‘Fanney Khan’ is produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and KriArj Entertainment.

KriArj’s other film ‘Kedarnath’ also starts rolling today. Talking about both the films, Prernaa Arora said, ” We are extremely excited to kickstart our most dear projects ‘Fanney Khan’ and ‘Kedarnath’ on the same day. The set has been created at both the locations and the crew is looking forward for the kick start of our first schedules. ‘Fanney Khan’ and ‘Kedarnath’ are such amazing scripts with talented stars on board, we are eagerly waiting for it start and hope to finish it in the planned time. Hoping to spend some amazing time on both the sets.”
