Farah Khan comes out in support of Vishal Dadlani

Director-producer Farah Khan has extended her support towards music composer Vishal Dadlani who recently landed himself amidst controversies with his remark on Jain monk Tarun Sagar.

“As a friend, I support Vishal. I have always supported him. If we say our country is democratic then we should have the freedom to speak as well,” Farah said.

Tarun Sagar was invited by the Government of Haryana to deliver a lecture. Following the custom of Digambar Jains, he wore no clothes. This dejected Dadlani and he tweeted, “If you voted for these people, YOU are responsible for this absurd nonsense”. This gave birth to public outrage and Ambala police also lodged a FIR against him. However, Dadlani later deleted the tweet and apologised for hurting sentiments of a religious community.
