Farah Khan praises Riteish Deshmukh directorial debut Ved, says Genelia will ‘win every award’

Actor Riteish Deshmukh has now given his own film Ved to the audience as he made his directorial debut with this Marathi film. Ved movie is released today and filmmaker Farah Khan sends her love to Riteish as well as his wife Genelia D’Souza who is also the lead of the movie. Farah took to her Instagram account on Friday and dropped a lovely picture with Riteish and Genelia while praising the film.

Khan mentioned that Ved is the ‘most special’ for Riteish just like his first love. She even reviewed the movie saying his movie is quite polished and superior that no one would know the movie is his debut movie. Farah even stated that Genelia would win every award for her performance in Ved.

Meanwhile, Ved is a love story which stars Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza who fall in love in school days; however, due to a sudden change of events, things between them go downhill and they then start facing challenges. The movie looks quite similar to Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya starrer Majili.

During the trailer launch of Ved, Riteish Deshmukh confirmed that Ved is “inspired by Majili”. He also said, “It is inspired by Majili but it is very important to know how to adapt it to Marathi culture. We have spent a lot of time to figure that out.”

Riteish also said that people who have liked Majili will also enjoy Ved. “People who have loved Majili will definitely find something new in this film and we would like you to come and watch this too,” he said.
