After a break of several, Fardeen Khan returned to the entertainment space with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi earlier this year. The actor – who has since starred in films like Khel Khel Mein and Visfot, has now opened up about not being a part of the cast of No Entry 2. Read on to know all he shared.
Fardeen Khan on No Entry 2
During a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama, Fardeen was quizzed about No Entry 2 and now neither he nor any of the original cast members are part of the sequel. When asked why he isn’t part of the upcoming comedy sequel, the actor simply said, “You should call Boney Kapoor for this.”
Fardeen on shooting No Entry
Recalling his experience filming the Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor co-starrer, Fardeen Khan said it was a very new experience for him. He said, “As an actor you know it was my first attempt at all-out comedy where I had to play a little silly, funny, goofy kind of a character who’s not (very smart) who’s very vulnerable and naive. It was something very different from the way I saw myself.”
He continued, “It really freed me up because I had to really let go. I was a bit hesitant to do that but (it was because of) Boney Kapoor’s belief in me. He saw me doing some of a couple of such scenes in Khushi. He said ‘Fardeen you’re right for this role’ and I was like ‘Really?’ because it was a remake of Charlie Chaplin (2002) and my role was played by Prabhu Deva. Of course, I interpreted it quite differently.”
