Farhan Akhtar: ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ changed my life

Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra collaborated for the superhit film – ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. The biographical sports drama was released in 2013 and it was a great success. It was also a feather in Farhan Akhtar’s cap. Milkha Singh was an Indian athlete who overcame many agonising obstacles in order to become an Olympian and one of India’s most iconic athletes. The film has clocked 6 years and Farhan expressed that the film had changed his life.

He took to his social media profile and posting about the film, he wrote, “6 years since #bhaagmilkhabhaag came along and changed my life.. heart is filled with gratitude for all the love you have shown and continue to show our film. Big big hug.

The film also starred Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Meesha Shafi, Pavan Malhotra and Art Malik. Sonam also posted about it on her social media profile and wrote, “It’s been 6 years since I stepped on to the screen as Biro, a thoughtful and bright woman who eventually changed Milkha’s life. Reportedly, Farhan Akhtar is currently training hard for his upcoming film titled ‘Toofan’. The film is said to be the story of a boxer. Other than ‘Toofan’, Farhan is also gearing up for Shonali Bose’s directorial ‘The Sky Is Pink’ which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Zaira Wasim.
