Multi-talented filmmaker Farhan Akhtar never refrains from sharing his opinion on subjects of national interest. The actor took to his social media handle today and urged the electorate of Bhopal to save their city from another tragedy.
Yes, the ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actor was urging the people to vote against the BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya Thakur. However, the actor forgot that the people of Bhopal have already cast their vote on May 12. Now, this was enough for the actor to get massively trolled by the netizens.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Farhan wrote, “Dear electorate of Bhopal, it’s time for you to save your city from another full-of-gas tragedy.”
Dear electorate of Bhopal, it’s time for you to save your city from another full-of-gas tragedy. #SayNoToPragya #SayNoToGodse #RememberTheMahatma #ChooseLoveNotHate

And soon after Farhan shared the above post, he faced a backlash from the netizens for his ‘ignorance’. Some even said that – ‘this is what happens when you get paid for your tweets after the election”
