Farhan Akhtar as boxer

Farhan Akhtar is a multi-talented personality and there is no denying the same. Boy, the man can act, sing, direct and create movies, and win hearts with whatever he brings to the foray. Last time we saw him in ‘Rock On 2’, and unfortunately, the magic of Farhan did not work that time. But, fret not. We have news on Farhan’s next venture which will see him in the role of a boxer.

We have already seen Farhan as an athlete in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, and he has maintained his droolworthy physique ever since. Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that he will certainly look the part, and as far as playing the part is concerned, we all are familiar with Farhan’s acting prowess.

The movie is a Mohit Suri one and the filmmaker himself opened up on the same, in a conversation with DNA. According to Mohit, though the character that Farhan will be playing will be fictional, it will have a real life connect and will draw inspiration from the life of Mohit Suri himself. Mohit further shed light on the concept of the movie and revealed that the story is based on a father-son relationship, emphasising on the struggles of a single father. It is not a well-known fact that Mohit himself lost his mother at a very young age, and his father, all of 36 at the time, took on the responsibility of bringing him up, single-handedly. The movie will draw from the facet of the director’s life. Also, it will see Farhan in two characters, in two separate time phases of the character’s life; once, as a son who adores his father, and second, when he becomes a father himself and dotes on his son.

Well, it will certainly be interesting to watch Farhan as a boxer, with such an emotional concept.
