Does Farhan Akhtar compare all his work with ‘Dil Chahta Hai’? Find Out!

Farhan Akhtar and Bhumi Pednekar came together for a recent episode of ‘Tape Cast Season 2’. On the show, Bhumi played a ‘Do not play’ cassette for Farhan, hoping that there will be some interesting questions in store for him. Well, there were many and one of them being that he considers all his work is overshadowed by ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. Did he measure his own work against the landmark film?

Opening to the question Farhan said, “It is a landmark film that ushered in a new sensibility and when you have that success, somehow that shadow does loom over your other work too. Since then no matter what I make people do come and say to me when will I make something like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ again. As much as love is appreciated for which I am thankful but in the course of our journey we tend to do different things but it is difficult to get away from such a medley.”

Not only on his movies, but Farhan had even opened up on his relationship with his girlfriend Shibani Dandekar on the show. He was heard confirming that he might tie the knot in April or May this year. It so happened that on the show Farhan’s girlfriend is heard asking him ‘When are we getting married’ to which he could not stop smiling and replies, “I don’t know it may be April or ‘May’ Ahem!

So we might get to see the multitalented actor tying the knot with Shibani Dandekar very soon.

On the work front, Farhan Akhtar has Shonali’s film The ‘Sky is Pink’ in his kitty. The movie has him sharing screen space with his ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ star Priyanka Chopra and Zaira Wasim.
