EXCLUSIVE: Farhan Akhtar REVEALS why he and Shibani Dandekar kept their wedding intimate and simple

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar tied the knot on February 19 at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala house. It was an intimate affair with only close friends and family members in attendance. The inside pics and videos from the wedding of Farhan and Shibani took the internet by storm. Farhan and Shibani also had a civil marriage that took place on February 21 in Mumbai. The couple shared dreamy pics from their wedding on their respective social media handles. Fans were left in awe seeing those pics.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Farhan for the first time spoke about his wedding and why the couple kept it simple and intimate.

The filmmaker said, “We did what we felt was comfortable and to start with Shibani and myself happy because you need to enjoy your own wedding. I feel bad for the couple when sometimes I attend a wedding and they don’t look like having fun. It’s their day. So, we wanted to be happy ourselves and keep it very intimate and just warm. That’s what we hoped to achieve.”

In the interview, Farhan was joined by Juhi Chawla, director Hitesh Bhatia, and Taaruk Raina, where they spoke about their upcoming film Sharmaji Namkeen, Rishi Kapoor’s swansong. They discussed their fondest memories of Chintu ji, challenges they faced in putting this film together, after his demise, and how Ranbir Kapoor stepped in helping the team to complete the film.
