Don 3: Did Farhan Akhtar just reveal if Kiara Advani will play the leading lady in the Ranveer Singh starrer?

After years of waiting, Farhan Akhtar has finally announced the much-awaited third installment of Don 3. Going by the glimpse, Ranveer Singh is the new Don, and the netizens have mixed reactions to it. Ranveer has delivered blockbusters in his career and now, he has big shoes to fill.

As Ranveer is fixed as the male lead, netizens wonder who could fit best besides him to play the female lead. Many names have come to the fore for the female lead and Kiara Advani was expected to fit the bracket. But, Farhan has been keeping up with the excitement for the upcoming film, as he spoke to BBC Asian Network regarding the female lead.

During the interview, Farhan spoke about the female lead who will be fit to play the role in Don 3. He said that the work is in progress, and he does not want to get ahead of himself and say something that he will have to take back for any reason. Apart from this, he also shared that he will let everyone know about it when the time is right.

Earlier, it was reported that the filmmakers were in talks with Kiara Advani for the female lead. The actress was also spotted at the office of Excel Entertainment.

Don franchise gave us charming female leads with Zeenat Aman alongside Amitabh Bachchan in Don. The second part, starring Shah Rukh Khan had Priyanka Chopra, who impressed the netizens perfectly. As challenging and exciting as it would be for Ranveer Singh to take the legacy forward, it would equally be challenging for the female lead in Don 3.

Farhan had opened up about Ranveer Singh coming up in Don 3 and all the chatter revolving around casting him. In the same interview, he said, “I’m just really looking forward to get it going. I mean Ranveer is amazing. He’s great for the part. He’s also as you can imagine, really excited and really nervous, about the thing you’re filling some big shoes before you. But we went through the same emotional process when Shah Rukh did it and everyone was like ‘Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?.’ That whole thing happened then.”

Well, the hype for the film is real after Farhan dropped the video release for Don 3. The film is slated to go on floors in January 2025.
