Farhan Akhtar slammed by netizens as he expressed his views on Aarey forest row

The Aarey deforestation has been in the news for many days. On Friday (October 4) the authorities had started the deforestation process at midnight. The videos of cutting down trees at Aarey have gone viral on the internet. Bollywood celebs like Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Dia Mirza, and Farhan Akhtar among others took to social media to vent out their anger over slashing trees of Aarey Colony in Mumbai.

But the tweet of Farhan Akhtar didn’t go well with a section of netizens and he was slammed on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Farhan tweeted, “Cutting trees at night is a pathetic attempt at trying to get away with something even those doing it know is wrong.”

The apartment you own rests on many cut trees. The cars and ACs you use pollute, daily so above it. You privileged class use cars daily but want maximum. People to be denied, Metros and suffer traffic jams your class causes. Metro will reduce use of pvt cars reduce pollution.
