Farhan introduces his ‘Lucknow Central’ co-star Diana aka Gayatri Kashyap

If you have seen the trailer of ‘Lucknow Central’, then you would surely have noticed Diana Penty in it. While Farhan Akhtar plays the central character of Kishan Mohan Girhotra, Diana’s role is also crucial to the story-line.

So, the lead actor Farhan Akhtar decided to provide some insights into Diana Penty’s character of Gayatri Kashyap. At first, he shared a picture of the actress introducing her character on his Twitter page. He wrote, “गायत्री मैडम से बच के रहना भैया। इनके सामने नॉनसेंस किया तोह समझो लग गयी। सर सलामत तो पगड़ी हज़ार। मिलिए इनसे आज।@DianaPenty #LucknowCentral” [sic]

He further shared a video in which he is describing Gayatri’s character of a hot-headed person who gets things done according to her will. Furthermore, the video shows montages from the film which establish her character. The story revolves around Kishan Mohan Girhotra, an aspiring singer whose life takes a turn when he gets wrongly framed for a murder and gets imprisoned in Lucknow Central jail. So, he along with his inmates make a plan to escape the prison in the disguise of a music band. Diana Penty essays the role of Gayatri Kashyap, an NGO activist and the catalyst who helps the jail members of Lucknow Central escape. Apart from Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty, ‘Lucknow Centarl’ also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy, Gippy Grewal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaamulhaq, Uday Tikekar, Sukh Kunwar in pivotal parts. Directed by Ranjit Tiwari and produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures, the movie is slated to release on September 15, 2017.
