The 61 year old ace fashion designer Rohit Bal is reportedly admitted to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital and fighting for his life.

Rohit Bal is on ventilator

Hindustan Times quoted a source saying, “Bal was rushed to the hospital by model Suraj Dhalia three days ago. His heart was sinking and he was unconscious. His pacemaker gave several shocks. He was initially taken to Moolchand and when his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to Medanta.”

Furthermore, HT quoted one of his close friends saying, “Guddu is a fighter but his illness has taken a serious toll on him. He became extremely weak over the last few months. We are praying for him.”

For the uninitiated, fashion designer Rohit Bal suffered a heart attack in 2010. He has also been dealing with pancreatitis and was admitted to the hospital earlier this year. Reportedly, he was not in a good state. The designer has been hospitalized many times due to serious health complications in the last few months.

That’s not all, he was also struggling with alcohol addiction. In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, Rohit’s close friend had revealed, “Guddu is in very bad shape. He was almost dead in November. The doctors had to flush out alcohol and sleeping pills from his system when his friends took him to the hospital.”

Rohit Bal is one of the top fashion designers in the country. Over the years, he has designed clothes for many A list celebrities including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Ranbir Kapoor, and Sonam Kapoor. He has also designed clothes for the popular game reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati host Amitabh Bachchan.
