Fatima Sana Shaikh on link-up rumours with Aamir: People who write these things, I hope they sleep well

Sometimes the film industry can be a very weird place to be in. Here people will say something on your face and the bitch on your back uninhibitedly. Link up rumours is another part and parcel of this job. Actors are constantly linked with each other and no matter what they say or do the gossip mills keep on churning the stories as per their convenience.

Actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has been the target of the gossip mongers ever since she made her Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan starrer ‘Dangal’. Post the release of the film, Fatima went on to star in yet another Aamir Khan starrer ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. Soon enough rumours of Aamir and Fatima’s affair started doing the rounds.

It was also being said that, Fatima bagged a Yash Raj Film’s project all thanks to her closeness with the Mr Perfectionist. Now finally the young actress has opened up on all these link-up rumours. The ‘Dangal’ star told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s very weird. I used to get disturbed and I felt like I should explain myself. If someone accuses you of something, the first instinct is to come out and tell, ‘Listen, why do you think it is like this?’ If you are an aggressive person, you will attack. If you are a submissive person, even then you will talk about it.”

Explaining the reason behind why she hadn’t reacted so far, Fatima went on to add that she doesn’t feel the need to do so as no matter what people will continue to talk about her.

 “Logo ka kaam hai bolna woh bolenge. No point getting affected by it. People, who write these things, are the people who will meet me nicely. I know it’s their job but I hope they sleep well,” said the actress.
