Fatima Sana Shaikh has THIS to say on working with Anurag Basu

Bollywood in 2018 learned a very important lesson. The films, which clicked in the last year were based on great content and new ideas. From ‘Badhaai Ho’ to ‘Veere Di Wedding’ to ‘Stree’, filmmakers came out of their comfort zone and broke the shackles.

Now, Fatima Sana Shaikh is one of the most hardworking and sincere actresses of the industry. Fatima, in her short career so far, has done projects based on strong and powerful scripts. Now, according to reports, Fatima was offered Anurag Basu’s next untitled film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Rajkummar Rao.

In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the ‘Dangal’ actress said, “When Anurag came to me with the film, I just said I want to do this film. I don’t even want to hear the story because it doesn’t matter what it is. This is the kind of confidence you have in certain filmmakers, not everybody gets a chance to work with him.”

The fashionable diva further added, “The film is going on the floors on Jan. I knew Rajkummar even before I did ‘Dangal’. He is an amazing person who has not changed one bit, and I am really excited to work with him.” 

“I am all the more excited because I am getting to work with him with an amazing director. We will start the first schedule in Bhopal,” she added.

Anurag Basu believes in backing unconventional projects and thinks on his feet. Fatima was last seen in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. The film didn’t to that well at the box office and it had Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles.
