The fashion world is laden with outfits that we might not really understand always! And B-town’s Swara Bhasker just wore something that belongs to this category. Her look is not pretty, it’s not atrocious, and we can’t even say, “Ah, something crazy but refreshing.” (Also read: Swara clarifies that she had JOKED about going under the knife)

For the Indian Film Festival 2018 in Hong Kong recently, Swara wore a dress by designer Aartivijay Gupta from her Fall/Winter 2018 collection. The maxi had a seemingly quirky print but it had trees and strange-looking women printed on it. We’re sure the designer had a theme in mind, but it isn’t quite pleasing to the eye. The outfit was clubbed with a matching longline jacket, which wasn’t probably tailor-made for Swara as the fit looked awkward as hell.
We’re totally game for busy prints but this didn’t make the cut for us. Probably the dress would have looked fine by ditching the jacket altogether. Or just the jacket with a pair of trousers and a basic tank top would have done the trick. Don’t you think so?

Stylist Divya Saini added finishing touches to the look with statement earrings from Azotiique and strappy heels from Intoto that, in a way, saved the OOTD. We totally loved the elegance of the earrings and even the updo was bang on. Make-up artist Rimi Chhatpar nailed it with the eye makeup and lightly blushed cheeks.
How about taking a look at how the outfit looked on the runway? The model is able to pull off the eccentric number in a much better way.

Now we’re starting to have serious doubts about whether we need to give a thumbs down to the outfit or Swara. What’s your take?
