Film distributor Ajay Chandani passed away after losing control of his sports bike on Cunningham Road. The incident took place on Sunday, and reportedly, the film financer rammed his bike into a signpost after losing control over his vehicle. The 48-year-old film distributor and financer is survived by his wife and a daughter.
As per a report in Times of India, Ajay was driving a brand new Rs 7.5-lakh Suzuki V Strom 650 XT bike. On Cunningham Road, he rammed into a signpost and then it also crashed into a compound wall of the nearby apartment. Passerbys alerted police, however, Ajay succumbed to his injuries after being brought in Jain Hospital.
Ajay had a long term association with filmmaker Boney Kapoor and Yash Raj Films. Ajay was the son of the late Pal Chandani, a renowned film distributor in Bengaluru.
If reports are anything to go by, then police has attributed the accident to reckless driving. Expressing his shock over Ajay’s sudden death, Boney told SpotboyE, “I am terribly shaken up. He was such a fine man. He had called me on Thursday and we spoke. Then I called him on Friday and we spoke. And now he’s gone forever. It’s terrible.”
We offer our heartfelt condolences to Ajay Chandani’s family and friends.
