Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar passes away and Hansal Mehta confirmed the news. The filmmaker sharing a picture on Twitter wrote, ‘Pradeep Sarkar. Dada. RIP‘. Pradeep Sarkar is known for films like Parineeta, Laga Chunri Mein Daag, Mardaani and more.

Pradeep Sarkar passes away

As reported by ETimes, Pradeep Sarkar Sarka was on dialysis. His potassium levels dropped drastically so he was rushed to a hospital. But sadly the noted filmmaker passed away in the hospital. His funeral will take place today in the evening.

Pradeep Sarkar started his journey with Vinod Chopra Productions.

Pradeep made his directorial debut with Parineeta in 2005. He directed Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Lafangey Parindey, Mardaani and Helicopter Eela. Sarkar also directed several web series such as Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, Arranged Marriage and Forbidden Love and Duranga.

Pradeep Sarkar was also one of the most sought-after and brilliant music video directors. His funeral will take place at a crematorium in Santacruz at 4 pm today.
