Finally! Arjun Kapoor locked opposite Shraddha Kapoor in ‘Half Girlfriend’

Mohit Suri’s upcoming film ‘Half Girlfriend‘ has created a lot of buzz well before its release. The movie which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel with the same name had some issues with the casting of the film. Makers had a tough time on finalising on who would play the lead characters in the film. Several names sprung up but, the gossip mill kept bustling as the makers couldn’t lock on to one single name.

Starting with Sushant Singh Rajput, the ‘Kai Po Che’ boy was the original choice of the makers for the male lead in ‘Half Girlfriend.’ Unfortunately, due to some date clash with Sushant’s other commitments he had to opt out of the project. Later, it was Shahid Kapoor who was supposedly approached for Sushant’s role. But, again there was no confirmation on this. Talking about the leading actress in film Kriti Sanon, Parineeti Chopra and Shraddha Kapoor were the top contenders to bag this project. Finally, the makers announced that Shraddha is the one who has emerged victorious in the war to be the female lead in ‘Half Girlfriend.’ With this, there’s yet another good news for all those who are waiting for this film. The makers have finally found the male lead as well. It’s none other than ‘Ki And Ka’ actor Arjun Kapoor.

For the first time, we would see Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor paired opposite each other for a film. So now that the lead actors are in place and the director has also decided on the location where the movie would be shot, the film is expected to start rolling soon.
